A Sonnet To Slumber
Tonight I wait for her to come again;
My sweet lover come take me all the way.
My bed soars higher than an aeroplane;
When on your fluffy wings I fly away.
The deeper I go the higher I get;
In your arms the pain of life disappears.
Let’s climax where reality will melt;
Like burned out candles with a million tears.
There lies a haven for my baneful soul;
My dreams shine brighter than a scorching sun.
Let’s last longer before his intruding growl
Blast against us like the sound of a gun.
Tonight at nine before it gets more late;
Slumber my lover, please come be my date.
